Eva Zavaro
Violin
Born in 1995, Eva Zavaro is one of the most brilliant French violinists of her generation. In September 2018, she won First Prize at the Johannes Brahms International Competition in Austria and the Vadim Repin Prize for Mozart's best performance.
At the age of 14, Eva performed as a soloist with the London Symphony Orchestra under Sir J.E. Gardiner at the Salle Pleyel. Since then, her violin has taken her to Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Russia, Japan, the United States, Spain, the Netherlands... Last season, she made her debut at the Berlin Philharmonic under Julia Fischer in two Mozart and Bach concertos.
A passionate chamber musician, Eva participates in the Seji Ozawa Academy 2014 (Switzerland) and plays under her baton at Victoria Hall in Geneva and at the Théâtre des Champs Élysées in Paris. She is a founding member of the Daphnis String Quartet. In piano recital, she has performed at the Gstaad Musical Summits, the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival in Germany, and the Konzerthaus in Berlin. She performed in Russia at the Mariinsky Concert Hall as part of the "White Nights" Festival conducted by Valeri Gergiev.
She was awarded the SACEM Georges Enescu 2016 prize. His first recording was released in 2018 on Claves Records. She performed Pierre Wissmer's Second Concerto there.
