Raphaël Unger
Cello
Cellist of the Orchestre national d'Île-de-France since May 2014, Raphaël Unger trained at the Conservatoire d'Aulnay-sous-Bois and then at the CNSM in Paris with Régis Artielle, Ophélie Gaillard, Philippe Muller and Raphaël Pidoux.
A passionate chamber musician, he takes part in the Beauvais Cello Festival and the 2014 and 2015 editions of the "Musique aux 4 Horizons" festival in Ronchamp. He won 1st prize at the Epernay String Competition and was a finalist at the Ernest Bloch International Competition in London. He also receives advice from Gary Hoffman, Nicklas Schmidt, Jens-Peter Maintz and Franz Helmerson during master classes.
His deep interest in the classical and baroque repertoire through the baroque cello, the piccolo cello and the viola da gamba leads him to the regular practice of these instruments.
