Sélim Mazari

Sélim Mazari began playing the piano at the age of five. He made his first steps at the Paris Conservatory in the class of Pierre Réach and then unanimously joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur where he continued his training with Brigitte Engerer and Claire Désert. He also receives advice from Rena Shereshevskaya, Jean-Claude Pennetier, etc.

Winner of numerous competitions such as the Île de France International Piano Competition, Piano Campus 2013, the Collioure International Piano Competition, the young pianist is also awarded by the Société des Arts de Genève. He has already performed in numerous festivals (La Roque d'Anthéron, Mille et une notes en Limousin, Pianoscope, Piano en Valois, Les Pianofolies du Touquet, Les Chorégies d'Orange, le Festival Pablo Casals à Prades etc.), in recital or with orchestra. Passionate about chamber music, he collaborates with prestigious musicians such as Yo-yo Ma, Henri Demarquette or Olivier Charlier. In 2012, Selim Mazari was named Classical Revelation of ADAMI, an award that allowed him to perform, among others, at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord.

It is also supported by the SAFRAN Foundation. He is currently perfecting his skills with Avo Kouyoumdjian in Vienna. In February 2018 he was nominated for the Victoires de la musique classique in the category "young instrumentalists soloists".
