An eclectic musician, Lucas Henri began his musical career by learning the guitar, which he played throughout his youth in numerous rock and variety bands.  

At the same time, he studied double bass from the age of 10 at the CRRs of Caen, Rueil-Malmaison and Paris, with Vincent Pasquier and Philippe Noharet in particular. His meeting with the double bassist Diego Imbert also led him to jazz from an early age/ In 2010, he was admitted to the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Paris in writing class where he obtained his harmony, counterpoint and fugues and forms prizes, for the latter he was first nominated, respectively in the classes of Cyrille Lehn, Pierre Pincemaille and Thierry Escaich.  In 2013, he joined the Orchestre national de Lille and then the Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France in 2015.  

At the same time, he pursued a career as an arranger and orchestrator. Since 2015, he has been co-artistic director of the Ensemble La symphonie de poche, for which he has made numerous arrangements of works from the symphonic repertoire, alongside its founding conductor Nicolas Simon. Their first album was released in 2017 on Pavane Records. As an arranger, he also collaborates with artists such as the Joubran Trio, Gad Elmaleh and Philippe Katerine on recordings and on stage. His arrangements have been performed at the Théâtre du Châtelet, the Opéra Garnier and the Olympia.
