David Kadouch

Born in 1985, David Kadouch trained with Odile Poisson at the C.N.R. in Nice, Jacques Rouvier at the CNSM in Paris, Dmitri Bashkirov at the Reina Sofia School in Madrid and perfected his skills with Murray Perahia, Maurizio Pollini, Maria-Joao Pires, Daniel Barenboim, Vitaly Margulis, Itzhak Perlman, Elisso Virsaladze and Emanuel Krasovsly. At the age of 13, he played at the Metropolitan Hall in New York, at 14 at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow," in 2005, he was the guest of the Academies of Salzburg and Verbier (Honorary Prize in 2009), then finalist of the "Leeds International Piano Competition" in 2009. Since 2007, he has been a laureate of the ADAMI, the Natexis Banques Populaires Foundation and also "Revelation Jeune Talent" at the Victoires de la Musique 2010 and "Young Artist of the Year" at the Classical Music Awards 2011.

 

David Kadouch has been invited to numerous festivals such as the Lucerne Contemporary Music Festival under the direction of Pierre Boulez, Klavier-Festival Ruhr, Gstaad, Montreux, Verbier, Jerusalem, Aix-en-Provence, Colmar, Deauville, la Roque d'Anthéron, Montpellier, Saint-Denis, Piano aux Jacobins in Toulouse and in China. He performs chamber music with Renaud and Gautier Capuçon, Edgar Moreau, Nikolaj Znaider, Antoine Tamestit, Frans Helmerson, Sol Gabetta, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Michel Dalberto, as well as the Ebène, Modigliani, Quiroga and Ardeo Quartets.

 

He also performs with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich and David Zinman, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Marc Minkowski, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and Myung-Whun Chung, the Orchestre National de France and Daniele Gatti, the Lille National Orchestra and the Gulbenkian Foundation Orchestra with Jean-Claude Casadesus, the Strasbourg Orchestra and Marc Albrecht, the Halle Orchestra and Robin Ticciati, the Israel Philharmonic and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta.

 

Highlights of the 2017/2018 season include performances with the Insula Orchestra and Laurence Equilbey, the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, the Orchestre National de Montpellier, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and Matthias Pintscher. He also performs in recital alone in Evanston, Biel, Brussels and in duo with Edgar Moreau in Vienna, London, Amsterdam, Toulouse, Lyon, Heilbronn...

 

David Kadouch has recorded Beethoven's 5th Concerto (Naxos), the complete Shostakovich Preludes (TransartLive), a Schumann disc with the Ardeo Quartet (Decca/Universal), a disc of Russian music and a recital devoted to Bach, Janacek, Schumann and Bartok (Mirare). Last release: A duo recital with Edgar Moreau around Franck, Strohl, Poulenc, de la Tombelle (Warner - Erato).
