pp13.jpg

Passionate about art and literature, Varoujan Doneyan likes to navigate between different styles of music, and to bring together different art forms, such as poetry and music, photography and music...

Born in 1986, he began playing the violin with Agnès Thaureau, then Anne-Marie Morin, before entering the CNSMDP in Boris Garlitsky's class. He will also benefit from the advice of Vladimir Mendelssohn and Marc Coppey, in chamber music.

He then studied at the Musikhochschule in Freiburg with Rainer Kussmaul, and spent two years studying early music in Mira Glodeanu's class at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels.

Varoujan Doneyan regularly performs with ensembles such as the Freiburger Barockorchester, Pygmalion, Les Inventions, Les Ambassadeurs...
