Antoine de Grolée

Antoine de Grolée began playing the piano at the age of 6. Admitted at 17 years old to the CNSM of Lyon in Pierre Pontier's class, he obtained a 1st prize with the congratulations of the jury. He worked with Hortense Cartier-Bresson and then at the Imola Academy with Boris Petrushansky. He receives advice from great pianists such as Zoltan Kocsis, Anne Queffélec, Christian Ivaldi or Claire Désert as well as from Valentin Erben, Régis Pasquier, or members of the Ysaÿe Quartet.

First prize in the Flame competition in 2000 and the Teresa Llacuna competition in 2005, he won the 5th prize in the Long-Thibaud International Competition in 2007. He is a laureate of the Fondation Banque Populaire, the Fondation Charles Oulmont and the international ProMusicis prize.

His chamber music partners are Eleonore Darmon, Laurent Cabasso, Michel Dalberto, François Salque, David Guerrier, Pierre Fouchenneret, Amaury Coeytaux, Lise Berthaud, and founded the Gustave Ensemble. He performs as a soloist with various orchestras, including the Sofia Symphony Orchestra, the Moldovan Chamber Orchestra, the Warsaw Opera Orchestra, as well as the Orchestre National de France. It is regularly broadcast on Medici.tv and France Musique. He accompanies the classes of Svetlin Roussev and Michel Strauss at the CNSM in Paris. Since 2014, he has been artistic director of Les Moments musicaux du Tarn.
